Manama: Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) have won the Bahrain Industrial Bowling League after winning 6-2 following its defeat of Retirees who finished eighth in the standings at the Funland Bowling Centre in Manama.

Top scoring for the BDF was Shaker Darraj (237 high game and Fawaz Al Sese (649) high series and for the Retirees Saud Al Wazeer (197) game and Talal Yousif (596) series.

Batelco finished second after a 6-2 defeat of Electricity and Water Authority with the top scorers being for Mahdi Asad (246) game and (607) series and for Electricity Water Authority (EWA) Mohammad Talib scored (245) game and (577) series. Bapco finished third with an 8-0 win over Asry with top scorers being for Bapco Abdulla Abdul Kareem, 292 game and (712) series and for Asry the team captain Ali Al Banna (245) game and Jehad Kaddoura (633) series.

Other scores (game, series): GPIC (Ghassan Abdulla, 235, Ahmad Fareed 613) bt Banagas (Raed Ahmad, 256, 655) 8-0. Gulf Air (Mohammad Ahmad Janahi, 255, 672) drew Tatweer (Medel Villanueva, 252, 657). for high series. The Golden Triangle Tournament commences where the eight remaining teams who could not became the top winners of the general league divided in two groups. Group one compriises, Asry, Banagas and EWA. Group two is Pioneers, Gulf Air and Tatweer. The duration of the tournament is 3 weeks.
