Big win for DHL in HBL League
Manama: DHL defeated Cebarco by 83 runs in the latest matches of the HBL League organised by Cricket Bahrain Association at the Hunainiya Valley in Riffa.
Batting first, DHL scored 202 for six in its 20 overs with Imran Anwar (92 off 49, 9x4, 5x6) top scoring with good support from Abid Khan (58 off 46) while Sammi and Vijay picked up a couple of wickets each.
In reply, Cebarco were restricted to 119 in 20 overs with Marouti (38) top scoring and Gigan (three wickets) the best of the bowlers.
Other scores: BCC ‘A’ 143 in 20 overs (Sarfraz 59 off 42, Fahad 31; Nirmal 2 wkts) bt Indian Club 139 runs in 20 overs (Irfan Sheikh 53 off 36, Sarfraz 2 wkts) by 4 runs. AYC 169 (Taimur 57, Qamar 31, Thuva 2 wkts) bt Super Kings 145 in 20 overs (Ganish 43, Ashfaq 2 wkts) by 24 runs. Public Security Blue 170 (Ismail M 57 off 37, Rammez 2 wkts) bt Titans 132 (Saqib 42, Ajmal and Masood 1 wkt each) by 38 runs. Khan 131 for one (Imran Butt 59 off 39, Nishad 1 wkt) bt Lanka Lions 130 for six (Nishad 26, Kashif 2 wkts) by 9 wickets.
