Sites for garages ordered
Manama: Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has directed to allocate sites near villages and cities and far away from residential areas for workshops and garages, in cooperation with the relevant municipal councils. Prince Khalifa also tasked the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam Khalaf to follow up the matter.
The decision came while reviewing the actions taken to relocate workshops and garages from residential areas to industrial ones during the Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.
Chairing the Cabinet meeting, in the presence of Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Premier also reviewed the work progress in central markets’ development projects. Prince Khalifa directed the Ministry of Works to study the current situation of the Nuweidrat Central Market and take necessary actions and re-open it at the
earliest.
The Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister, Essam Khalaf was asked to visit Nuweidrat and follow up the situation of the market.
