“The Productive House” exhibition inaugurated

“The Productive House” exhibition, which is organised by the Labour and Social Development Ministry, was inaugurated by Shaikha Mounira bint Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The two-day exhibition is being held at Sharifa Al Awadhi Youth and Children Club in East Riffa with the participation of 50 productive Bahraini families.

Shaikha Mounira, who was received by Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan and other senior officials, was briefed about the array of homemade products, reflecting creativity and innovation of the Bahraini productive families.

She thanked the Minister Humaidan and other officials for organising the expo, praising the role of the Ministry in boosting contribution of the Bahraini productive families to the national growth.

She also met the productive families and discussed about how the products are developed and the possibility of boosting their promotional and marketing opportunities.

“The exhibition aims to promote home-made products and handicrafts as well as open up new horizons to develop skills,” said Minister Humaidan.

He said the number of those who had been licensed to work at home had reached 310 by the end of 2015, pointing out that 12 families have obtained commercial registration too.

He noted that the 50 families in the exhibition are already registered with the “One Step for Home Projects” programme.
