Bahrain-UAE partnership strengthens fresh produce supply chain
Life Global Foods and the UAE-based Elite Agro have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening food security and ensuring a reliable supply of fresh produce between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Khaled Abdullah Hashem, Chief Executive Officer of Life Global Foods, said food security remains a fundamental pillar of national stability, stressing the importance of maintaining product quality through safe, efficient and uninterrupted logistical channels between the two countries.
“We take great pride in our partnership with Elite Agro and the United Arab Emirates,” Hashem said, noting that the partnership focuses on the exclusive import of more than 31 varieties of vegetables and fruits produced in the UAE to high specifications and reliable standards.
He said the partnership aims to ensure that fresh produce reaches Bahrain while maintaining the quality expected by consumers.
“We reaffirm our ongoing commitment to quality and rigorous monitoring to ensure product safety from source to destination,” Hashem said.
He also highlighted the importance of safe and efficient logistics in preserving product quality, reducing risks, supporting economic balance and maintaining a continuous supply at the best value.
Hashem acknowledged that disruptions in certain logistical channels and obstacles in re-export processes may arise, but stressed that the longstanding relationship between Bahrain and the UAE remains strong.
“No matter what disruptions may occur in certain channels, or what obstacles may arise in re-export processes, the esteemed United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain remain bound by an unbreakable unity,” he said.
“We stand with the UAE, and the UAE stands with us.”
Meanwhile, Hassan Halawi, Chief Executive Officer of Elite Agro, said consumers across the GCC are increasingly seeking fresh produce that meets trusted standards of safety, quality and consistency.
“Through our partnership with Life Global Foods, we’re extending that promise into Bahrain, making Elite berries and fresh products a trusted choice on more shelves across the region,” Halawi said.
