HM King Receives American Mission Hospital Leadership
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Dr. George Cheriyan, CEO and Medical Director of the American Mission Hospital, along with U.S. Ambassador Stephanie Hallett, who presented a commemorative gift marking the Year of Isa the Great (American Mission Hospital Legacy). During the meeting, they unveiled plans to rebuild the historic American Mission Hospital on its original site as a lasting gift to Manama for the next century, while transforming the former Women and Children's Hospital into a healthcare museum.
His Majesty praised the hospital's 120-year legacy of delivering quality healthcare in Bahrain, commended its continued expansion and development, and highlighted the strong Bahraini-American partnership, particularly in the healthcare sector.
