US Embassy Opens Applications for Fulbright and Humphrey Programs

The United States Embassy in Manama has announced the opening of applications for two competitive academic and professional development programs in the United States for the 2026–2027 academic year. Interested applicants are invited to submit their applications by August 1, 2026.
The embassy said the Fulbright Graduate Study Program provides full funding for up to two years of master's degree study in a wide range of fields, excluding medicine. The scholarship is available only for master's-level studies.
It also announced the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a nine-month professional development fellowship designed for mid-career professionals. The program offers participants the opportunity to enhance their expertise through graduate-level academic study and professional engagement at institutions across the United States. The fellowship does not lead to a degree and is available in a variety of professional fields.
The embassy encouraged eligible candidates to complete and submit their applications before the deadline to ensure they are considered for the programs.
