Governor stresses improved digital services and faster response to community needs
The Southern Governorate has received a total of 1,257 inquiries and requests related to security, service and social matters by mid-2026, reflecting growing community engagement across the region.
Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa reaffirmed the governorate’s commitment to enhancing communication with residents and improving response times to their feedback and needs, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He said these efforts also align with Bahrain’s ongoing government drive to digitise services and provide modern, efficient and accessible public services that meet community expectations.
The governor noted that 24% of requests were security-related, 40% social, and 36% service-related, based on data recorded up to the end of June 2026.
He highlighted that the governorate’s complaints and inquiries unit follows a structured system to receive, classify and analyse submissions before referring them to relevant departments, followed by field monitoring to ensure proper follow-up and implementation.
Shaikh Khalifa said community communication remains a key pillar of the governorate’s work, supporting the identification of needs and ensuring timely responses through multiple service channels.
