Bahrain Launches Jerusalem Education Endowment
Engineer Ibrahim Dalhan Al-Dosari, Acting Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, laid the foundation stone for the Bahrain Endowment for Education and Orphans project in Jerusalem.
The project launched in cooperation with the Jerusalem Empowerment Fund for Development during a foundation delegation visit to Jerusalem, as part of Bahrain’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people.
The Royal Humanitarian Foundation previously signed a cooperation agreement with the Jerusalem Empowerment Fund for Development to support the endowment, which will benefit the Arab Child Girls’ School in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
The project aims to help sustain the school’s educational services and orphan care, contribute to its operating budget, expand educational opportunities and strengthen its ability to continue serving beneficiaries.
Al-Dosari said the foundation stone ceremony reflects Bahrain’s interest in humanitarian and development initiatives focused on education, orphan care and human development.
He noted that the project is the first endowment project of its kind in Jerusalem and represents an extension of Bahrain’s initiatives supporting the Palestinian people.
He also stressed the importance of endowment projects in providing sustainable resources for educational and social services and creating long-term development opportunities.
Al-Dosari added that the initiative reflects the foundation’s approach of developing humanitarian work beyond addressing immediate needs toward sustainable projects capable of creating lasting benefits for individuals and communities.
