Coast Guard Issues Marine Survey Guidance
The Coast Guard, in cooperation with Bapco Energies and with participation from Ports and Marine Navigation Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Transport, organized an awareness campaign for fishermen at Bandar Al-Dar Port.
The campaign introduced fishermen to the new area covered by the marine survey project and outlined the procedures and safety measures people at sea should follow.
Officials explained the new work area's location based on published maps and stressed the importance of following all instructions and guidelines related to the project.
Fishermen and other sea users were advised to avoid entering the survey area or approaching the project's equipment and vessels. They were also instructed not to fish, swim or dive within the work area, tamper with equipment, or obstruct survey activities.
The Coast Guard urged people at sea to monitor announcements and updates issued by the relevant authorities and to comply with safety guidelines.
The campaign is part of ongoing coordination among the concerned authorities to raise awareness, address fishermen's questions and help ensure the safe and smooth implementation of the marine survey project.
