iGA Highlights Bahrain’s Integrated Digital Ecosystem

At the 9th Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2026, the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) showcased Bahrain’s progress in digital transformation and the development of an integrated national digital ecosystem designed to enhance government efficiency and service delivery.

The Deputy Chief Executive for eTransformation, Mr. Ali Abdulaziz Al Janahi, participated in a session titled “Beyond Digital Government: Building an Integrated National Digital Ecosystem,” held under the summit theme “City Visions: Where Sustainability, Innovation and Smart Transformation Meet.”

During the discussion, he outlined Bahrain’s digital transformation journey, emphasizing key national initiatives that have improved public services and strengthened the Kingdom’s position in global digital government rankings. He highlighted that these achievements reflect the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Mr. Al Janahi pointed to major pillars of Bahrain’s progress, including the development of the National Portal (bahrain.bh), enhanced integration across government systems, and the adoption of a Cloud-First policy. He noted that these efforts have enabled the delivery of more than 800 integrated eServices, alongside user-centric features such as personalized profiles and favorite services.

He also highlighted Bahrain’s streamlined mobile strategy through three core applications: MyGov for individuals, Al Tajer for businesses, and the Bahrain App for tourists and visitors—supporting a unified and simplified digital experience.

The session further emphasized Bahrain’s strong digital infrastructure, which ensured uninterrupted government services during the COVID-19 pandemic, with platforms such as the BeAware Bahrain app serving as a model for AI-driven, data-enabled public services.

Mr. Al Janahi concluded by reaffirming Bahrain’s commitment to advancing its digital ecosystem through artificial intelligence, data innovation, and public-private partnerships, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for smart government and digital transformation.
