Drug Parcel Case: Appeal Verdict Due in July
Court to rule on prison sentence over suspected narcotics shipment

The High Criminal Court of Appeal is set to issue its verdict on July 27 in the case of a defendant convicted over a postal parcel containing suspected drugs.
The accused was previously sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined BD 5,000 after customs officials discovered suspicious materials inside a parcel arriving from Europe.
A search also uncovered additional substances believed to include shabu and heroin-related materials, along with other drug-related items.
Authorities said investigations suggested the defendant may have been part of an organised network involved in receiving and distributing narcotics.
