Tourism Tour Set
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) will organise a free tourism tour tomorrow to mark World Tourism Day. The tour will start at the Bahrain National Museum and include visits to several cultural and tourism landmarks with the participation of tourism guides.
The initiative aims to encourage residents and visitors to explore Bahrain’s heritage and tourism attractions. Registration is available through the Platinumlist platform and will close once all places are filled.
HM King Restructures RHF Board
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Order (30) of 2026 restructuring the Board of Trustees of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will chair the board, which includes 11 members. Shaikh Adnan bin Abdullah Al Qattan and Dr. Mustafa Ali Al Sayed will serve as deputy chairmen. The board members will serve four-year terms, renewable.
Advance Maritime Sector
Bahrain continues efforts to strengthen its maritime system and translate international legislation and agreements into practical measures, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications said on World Maritime Day 2026.
Marking the theme “From Policy to Practice: Enhancing Excellence in Maritime,” the minister highlighted the Maritime Law issued in 2022 and Bahrain’s successful completion of the International Maritime Organization’s voluntary audit.
US Talks Continue
Director General of Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, met US Ambassador Donald Blome, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and coordination across various fields, while supporting regional and international security and stability.
Mosque Service Digitized
The General Directorate of the Islamic Endowments Affairs Council has upgraded its service for those wishing to contribute fully or partially to mosque construction projects.
The service is now fully digital through Bahrain.bh, with processing time cut from 10 working days to five and required documents reduced by 50%.
Bahrain Backs Development
Assistant Undersecretary for Sustainable Development Dana Emad Hamza participated in a high-level meeting marking the 40th anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
Held on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly, the meeting brought together representatives to discuss the right to development and related global priorities.
Digital Transformation Discussed
The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) and the UN Development Programme held a high-level dialogue in New York on Bahrain’s digital transformation journey and its National Human Development Report.
The discussion brought together government officials, UN representatives, policymakers and technology and knowledge institutions to examine digital transformation, public policy and institutional capacity. Derasat CEO Abdullah Mohammed Al-Ahmed said the report places people at the centre of digital transformation, focusing on human capital, inclusion, innovation, productivity and responsible governance.
