A Bahraini court sentenced a foreign woman to six months in prison and ordered her deportation after she was found guilty of using a forged university degree.
The defendant submitted the falsified certificate to a private school and verification bodies in an attempt to secure approval for employment.
Investigations confirmed the certificate was not issued by the claimed university, based on official verification and audit reports.
The case was referred by the Ministry of Education after discrepancies were discovered during qualification checks.
