Bahrain Speaker Reaffirms Support for Joint Arab Action on APU Anniversary

Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting joint Arab action across various fields under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Al Musallam stressed the importance of strengthening Arab cooperation and coordination in ways that serve the interests of Arab nations and their peoples, while enhancing the role of Arab legislative councils and parliaments in achieving shared goals and aspirations.
His remarks came in a congratulatory cable sent to Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al Sheikh, Chairman of the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia and President of the Arab Parliamentary Union (APU), on the occasion of the union’s 52nd anniversary.
The Speaker praised the efforts of the APU President in promoting cooperation among Arab parliaments, advancing joint parliamentary work, and strengthening coordination on issues of common interest.
Al Musallam also highlighted the Council of Representatives’ commitment to expanding cooperation with the Arab Parliamentary Union at both the parliamentary and secretariat levels, supporting constructive partnerships, and fostering unified Arab positions on regional issues in a way that reflects the strong fraternal ties among Arab countries.
