HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Co-CEO of the Commercial and Investment Bank at JPMorgan Chase

MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Douglas B. Petno, Co-CEO of the Commercial and Investment Bank of JPMorgan Chase, at Riffa Palace.

His Royal Highness highlighted the critical role of the banking and financial sector in progressing the Kingdom’s economic diversification. In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister underscored the importance of creating initiatives and programmes that advance the banking sector’s contributions to the national economy, in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted the importance of strengthening strategic partnerships with global financial and banking institutions through expanded cooperation and expertise exchange supporting the development of financial services and economic growth.

During the meeting, several issues of mutual interest and the latest global economic developments were discussed.

For his part, Petno expressed his appreciation for His Royal Highness’ unwavering support in strengthening the Kingdom's financial and banking sector and bolstering Bahrain’s investment environment.

His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and several senior officials, also attended the meeting.
