LMRA steps up nationwide campaigns

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) carried out 1,222 inspection campaigns and visits across Bahrain between May 10 and 16, 2026, resulting in the detention of 30 irregular workers and the deportation of 83 others.
The operations included 1,186 inspection visits to shops across all governorates and 36 joint campaigns conducted in coordination with government entities.
LMRA said the campaigns targeted violations of labour and residency laws, and legal action was taken against offenders.
