Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Speaker of the Shura Council, condemned the recent drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, reaffirming Bahrain’s full solidarity with the two Gulf nations.
In separate cables sent to Saudi and UAE parliamentary leaders, Al Saleh described the attacks as dangerous escalations that threaten regional security and stability and violate international law and United Nations resolutions.
The Shura Council speaker condemned the attack involving three drones launched from Iraqi airspace toward Saudi Arabia, stressing Bahrain’s unwavering support for all measures the kingdom takes to safeguard its security, territorial integrity and citizens.
He also denounced the drone attack near the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the UAE, describing it as a criminal act targeting civilian and vital facilities.
Al Saleh praised the efficiency and readiness of Saudi and UAE air defence systems for intercepting and destroying the drones, saying the swift response reflected both countries’ strong defensive capabilities and commitment to protecting national security.
