Workplace Negligence Death Case

A Bahraini defendant faces charges of causing the death of a construction worker due to alleged negligence and failure to comply with workplace safety requirements.
The case dates back to 28 March 2025, when a 49-year-old Bangladeshi worker, Anwar Hussain Golzar, died after falling from a height at a construction site near a restaurant in the Adliya area.
According to investigations, the defendant failed to ensure proper safety measures at the workplace, including adequate worker training, hazard awareness, and safe site access while work was ongoing.
Police said the Operations Room at Umm Al Hassam Police Station received a report at 11:30 AM on the day of the incident. Patrols were dispatched to the scene, where the death was confirmed. Relevant authorities and the Public Prosecution later carried out procedures.
The court has adjourned the case, the judgment is scheduled for 24 May 2026.
