EU delegation visit strengthens diplomatic engagement

Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Minister, met a delegation from the European Parliament in Manama on Monday. The delegation was led by Reinhold Lopatka, Member of the European Parliament, during their official visit to the kingdom.
Discussions focused on strengthening relations between Bahrain and the European Union, including expanding cooperation across various sectors—particularly parliamentary ties—to support regional and global security, stability, and development.
The two sides also reviewed regional developments, including the implications of Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz on international trade, energy supplies and the global economy, as well as other issues of mutual concern.
