Qatar has reaffirmed its commitment to diplomatic engagement and regional stability, stressing continued coordination with international and regional partners amid rising geopolitical tensions.

Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari said Qatar remains in regular contact with various parties, including the United States, to monitor developments and support efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to ongoing crises.

Speaking at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs weekly briefing, Al Ansari expressed Qatar’s full backing for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, noting that consultations are ongoing and that it is premature to judge the outcome of negotiations, which continue to receive broad international support.

He said Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states are maintaining close coordination given the direct impact of the situation on regional security and stability.

Addressing the Strait of Hormuz, Al Ansari warned that any disruption or closure would escalate the crisis into a global issue, affecting energy supplies, logistics chains, and global markets. He described keeping the waterway open as a shared international responsibility and reaffirmed Qatar’s role in supporting maritime security and market stability.
