Southern Governor reviews security preparedness

The Southern Governorate Security Committee held its third meeting for 2026, chaired by Southern Governor His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, with the attendance of Deputy Governor Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, and Deputy Director-General of Southern Governorate Police Directorate Colonel Sheikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, alongside representatives from various security directorates under the Ministry of Interior.

At the start of the meeting, the Governor affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, continues to move forward with firm resolve in confronting any hostile actions that threaten its stability and the safety of its citizens.

The Governor praised the national efforts being undertaken during the exceptional circumstances currently facing the Kingdom, emphasizing the critical role of the security committee in implementing directives issued by Interior Minister General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to ensure safety and security across the Southern Governorate.

During the meeting, the committee was briefed on the efforts of the Southern Governorate Police Directorate and the General Directorate of Civil Defence in managing the impacts of recent developments affecting facilities and installations that were subjected to recent attacks. The Governor commended the high level of readiness and swift response demonstrated by security and civil defence teams in fulfilling their national duties.

In conclusion, the Southern Governor expressed prayers for the continued security, stability, and prosperity of Bahrain, its leadership, and its people, reaffirming ongoing coordination among all security agencies to further strengthen the nation’s safety and protection framework.
