Parliament reaffirmed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, stands as a leading model for protecting rights and public freedoms while safeguarding human dignity.
MPs praised the address delivered by His Majesty the King during the last ten days of Ramadan, which reaffirmed that Bahrain remains a nation of peace. They stressed their support for implementing the Royal directives to protect national constants, strengthen their presence and continue advancing the Kingdom’s reform and development path in cooperation with constitutional institutions.
The statement was issued as Parliament marked the Arab Human Rights Day on 16 March, with members expressing pride in Bahrain’s achievements in strengthening the rule of law and institutional development within its comprehensive national progress.
MPs also highlighted the impact of recent regional developments, describing attacks targeting Bahrain and neighbouring countries as violations of international humanitarian law that have resulted in casualties, fear among civilians and damage to vital infrastructure.
Parliament called for coordinated Arab parliamentary efforts to document these violations and present them to international human rights organisations, urging the global community to take decisive action.
For now, the statement reflects Bahrain’s continued commitment to rights, stability and institutional progress.
