Dr. Mariam Athbi Al‑Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals, confirmed in an interview with Bahrain TV that the emergency plan was fully executed following the incident in the Sitra area, with medical teams handling all cases according to the established procedures.

“All cases were received, and the medical staff responded immediately and efficiently according to the plan,” Dr. Al‑Jalahma said. “Doctors from various specialties, including surgical and pediatric departments, were mobilized to assess and treat the patients. Each case was evaluated individually to ensure the proper care.”

She described the emergency department as being “like a beehive” following the incident, with doctors, nurses, and support staff working together seamlessly. Despite the busy situation, all injured patients were stabilized, and their psychological condition was reported as stable.

Dr. Al‑Jalahma reassured the public that all necessary medical supplies and equipment were available and that the hospital remains fully prepared to handle any additional cases. Families of the injured are also being kept informed and reassured.

“We are fully prepared, and all medical teams are on standby,” she said, emphasizing the effectiveness of the executed emergency plan.
