FM Al Zayani Meets US Ambassador to Discuss Security Cooperation

Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Stephanie L. Hallett, Ambassador of the United States to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the ministry’s headquarters today to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the historic friendship and strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United States, highlighting the continued growth and cooperation across various fields.

They also discussed recent regional developments and the consequences of what Bahrain described as unjustified Iranian attacks involving ballistic missiles and drones targeting the kingdom. The attacks were reported to have been aimed at infrastructure, civilian facilities, and residential areas.

Both sides explored ways to further strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two countries and reaffirmed their commitment to continued consultation in addressing threats to regional security and stability.

The discussions also underscored the joint stance of Bahrain and the United States in confronting Iranian aggression and supporting Bahrain’s sovereignty under the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
