CBSE Postpones Class XII Board Exams Across Gulf Countries

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the Class XII board examinations scheduled from March 9 to March 11, 2026 for schools in several Middle East countries.

In a circular issued on March 7, 2026, the board said the decision was taken after a review of the current situation in parts of the region. The postponement applies to CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

According to the circular, examinations scheduled for March 9, March 10 and March 11 have been deferred. The board said new dates will be announced later.

CBSE added that it will review the situation again on March 10 before taking further decisions regarding examinations scheduled from March 12 onwards.

Students have been advised to remain in contact with their schools and follow official announcements carefully for updates regarding revised exam schedules.
