Parliament to discuss development of Muharraq waterfront

Parliament is set to discuss plans for developing Muharraq’s waterfront in the upcoming session, as lawmakers aim to enhance public spaces and strengthen the island’s urban landscape.
The discussion follows a parliamentary question directed to the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture regarding development plans for the Sixth District of Muharraq Governorate.
Supporters of the initiative say that a well-designed waterfront could feature pedestrian walkways, seating areas, green spaces, and recreational facilities to promote outdoor activity and community engagement.
