Manama: Oasis Mall in Juffair came alive with paws, tails, and fiesta cheer as the Hala Bira Festival 2026 wrapped up its three-day celebration with a much-awaited Pet Parade. Tiny pups, playful dogs, and other four-legged companions stole the spotlight in colourful and creative costumes, marching proudly alongside their doting owners and spreading joy throughout the crowd.
Organised in collaboration with the Bahrain Animal Rescue Centre (BARC), the event combined fun with a cause - all proceeds went to BARC to support their vital work in animal welfare. Visitors enjoyed a perfect mix of entertainment and compassion, celebrating pets while contributing to a meaningful mission.
The Pet Parade capped off the larger festival, an annual celebration that brings the Filipino community in Bahrain together to honour their culture, creativity, and heritage. Over three days, attendees enjoyed live performances, bustling food and retail bazaars, and community-focused activities that showcased Filipino pride while promoting unity, entrepreneurship, and cultural connection among overseas Filipinos. This year’s festival highlighted the vibrant Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo, adding a colourful cultural touch to the festivities.
The Filipino community joined in full festive spirit, turning the mall into a lively, heartwarming spectacle. Families, friends, and visitors cheered, snapped photos, and marvelled at the unique bond between pets and their humans.
By blending culture, creativity, and giving back, the Pet Parade and Hala Bira Festival transformed the weekend into a memorable celebration of joy, companionship, and community spirit - proving that a wagging tail and a smile can brighten any day.
