A’ali Walkway Reopens After Upgrade
Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak inaugurated the upgraded A’ali Walkway in the Northern Governorate, in the presence of municipal officials and council members.
The development included new flooring, maintenance of shaded areas and public facilities, solar-powered lighting, security cameras, sports-area upgrades, additional landscaping and tree planting, and a water-mist cooling system. The walkway extends for about one kilometre, covering approximately 23,175 square metres and includes exercise equipment and recreational spaces.
Al Mubarak said the project reflects the ministry’s efforts to improve public facilities and municipal services across Bahrain. Northern Municipal Council Chairman Dr. Sayed Shubar Ibrahim Al Wadaei and Sixth Constituency representative Abdullah Abdulhameed Ashoor welcomed the project, saying the upgrades will provide a more suitable environment for residents and visitors to enjoy sports and recreational activities.
