Labour Ministry, BCCI Seek Stronger Jobs Partnership
Labour Minister Yousif Khalaf and BCCI Chairman Nabil Kanoo discussed closer coordination to support businesses and expand quality jobs for Bahrainis.
The Ministry of Labour and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) discussed closer cooperation to support labour market growth and create more quality employment opportunities for Bahraini citizens.
The discussions took place during a meeting between Labour and Legal Affairs Minister Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf and BCCI Chairman Nabeel Khalid Kanoo. BCCI Second Vice Chairman Nawaf Khalid Al Zayani and Acting Chief Executive Officer Dr Shaima Abdullah Juma also attended.
Mr. Khalaf highlighted the Chamber’s role in representing private-sector businesses and contributing to Bahrain’s wider economic development. He also commended the BCCI’s support for national employment initiatives and efforts to improve the efficiency, competitiveness and stability of the national workforce.
The meeting explored ways to deepen cooperation between the Ministry and the Chamber to strengthen the sustainability of the labour market and enhance its ability to attract and develop national talent.
Both sides also discussed joint efforts aimed at making Bahraini citizens the first choice in the labour market.
Mr. Kanoo welcomed government initiatives supporting the business sector and stressed the importance of continued coordination between the public and private sectors to drive economic growth and generate more quality jobs for citizens.
