Emergency Alert System Test Successfully Completed
A short while ago, Bahrain experienced a nationwide test of the Ministry of Interior’s Emergency Alert System.
The Ministry of Interior (MOI) carried out a trial operation of the system at 9:30 PM across all mobile phones and smart devices, as part of efforts to ensure the system’s readiness and the effective delivery of emergency notifications to the public during critical situations.
In this context, the Ministry advised citizens and residents using iOS-powered devices to update their phones to at least version 26.2 to guarantee the timely and complete receipt of emergency alerts. The MOI explained that the update is essential to ensure alerts are delivered properly during emergencies.
The Ministry clarified that users of Android and Huawei devices are not required to take any action, as their systems are already compatible with the Emergency Alert System.
