Manama: The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has announced the closure of five tourist establishments after inspectors identified multiple violations of laws and regulations governing tourism activities in the Kingdom.

In a statement, the Authority said the closures were accompanied by the necessary administrative measures and form part of ongoing efforts to regulate the tourism sector and maintain high standards of service quality across tourist facilities.

BTEA said it will continue conducting regular inspection visits and monitoring campaigns, in coordination with relevant authorities, to ensure establishments across all regions of the Kingdom comply with applicable laws and regulations. These actions are being carried out in accordance with Decree Law No. (15) of 1986 on the regulation of tourism and its amendments.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the tourism sector by strengthening oversight and inspection mechanisms, noting that such measures are essential to sustaining growth and enhancing Bahrain’s position as a leading tourist destination.
