His Majesty the King visits the Royal Guard

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, today paid a visit to the Royal Guard of the Bahrain Defence Force, continuing his regular visits to the force’s units and formations.

The visit was attended by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was received by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council; Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of Royal Guard Special Operations; Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff; Major General Hamad Khalifa Al Nuaimi, Deputy Commander of the Royal Guard; along with a number of senior officers.

The national anthem was played, after which His Majesty inspected the guard of honour. The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a poem delivered by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the occasion.

His Majesty later visited the Royal Guard Special Operations Museum, where briefings were presented on development plans and efforts to equip the Royal Guard with the latest weapons and capabilities.

At the conclusion of the visit, His Majesty expressed his appreciation to Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and all members of the Royal Guard, also commending personnel across all units of the Bahrain Defence Force.

His Majesty also congratulated all members of the Bahrain Defence Force on the New Year, wishing them continued success and prosperity.
