LMRA highlights achievements and solid royal support
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) organized a celebration on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, observed annually on 1 December.
On this occasion, H.E. Nebras Mohammed Taleb, CEO of LMRA, affirmed that the contributions of Bahraini women leave a distinguished mark across all levels in the Kingdom.
He highlighted their proven competence, excellence, and leadership role in the comprehensive development journey under the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Role
The CEO praised the prominent role of the Supreme Council for Women, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, for its programs and initiatives supporting women in the workplace while achieving a balance with family life.
Meanwhile, Ms. Noura Isa Mubarak, Deputy CEO for Legal Compliance and Protection and Chairperson of the Authority’s Equal Opportunities Committee, emphasized that Bahraini Women’s Day represents a national occasion to highlight the qualitative achievements of women across various fields.
She commended the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women 2025–2026, launched by the Supreme Council for Women under the theme “Bahraini Women: From Empowerment and Progress to Leadership”, which focuses on four priorities: family stability, decision-making, economic participation, and quality of life.
Contributions
Ms. Mubarak stated: “At the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, we take pride in the contributions of Bahraini women inside the Authority and beyond, and we remain committed to supporting them as essential partners in realizing the royal vision of inclusive national development.”
She noted that women constitute 52% of the Authority’s total workforce, and 49% of supervisory and leadership positions, reflecting the Authority’s confidence in the capabilities and high competence of Bahraini women.
Ms. Mubarak affirmed that the Authority will continue to launch initiatives that promote women’s advancement and support their active participation in the labour market, contributing to the sustainable development of the Kingdom.
Drivers of progress
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, highlighted the continuous support and attention Bahraini women receive from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, noting that empowering women is a cornerstone of Bahrain’s comprehensive development.
He commended government initiatives led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, that strengthen women’s participation in national development.
Dr. Bin Dainah commended Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, for launching initiatives that expand women’s opportunities, enhance their skills, and enable leadership roles across sectors.
He noted this year’s Bahraini Women’s Day theme, “Bahraini Women: Distinction, Creativity, Innovation,” reflects women’s achievements and their role in advancing the oil and environment sectors through technical, administrative, and leadership contributions.
Dedication and excellence
His Excellency Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Civil Status, Passports, and Residence Affairs, honoured a number of female staff members in the department on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, celebrated this year under the theme “Bahraini Women… Excellence – Creativity – Innovation.” The Undersecretary emphasised that Bahraini Women’s Day represents a national occasion to recognize the significant role of women in society and to celebrate their achievements across various sectors. He commended the female staff of the Civil Status, Passports, and Residence Affairs (NPRA) Department for their dedication and excellence in performing their duties across different divisions.
Excellence, creativity and innovation
Her Excellency Amina bint Ahmed Al Rumaithi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebration of Bahraini Women’s Day represents a national occasion to reflect on the distinguished record of excellence, creativity, and innovation achieved by Bahraini women across all fields of work. The Ministry held a celebratory event yesterday, attended by its staff from various departments and divisions, under the theme: “Bahraini Women… Excellence – Creativity – Innovation.”
Partners in growth
His Excellency Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Governor of the Northern Governorate, emphasised that Bahraini Women’s Day reflects the advanced status of women in the Kingdom’s national development and comprehensive growth. This progress, he noted, is due to the impactful initiatives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, which have played a prominent role in advancing women’s participation at both national and international levels across various developmental sectors. The Northern Governorate celebrated Bahraini Women’s Day.
Capital Governorate forum
His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, attended the launch of the “She is Bahrain” Forum, held in celebration of Bahraini Women’s Day 2025, with the participation of Her Excellency Shaikha Jawaher bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Infinity 8 Group and Chairperson of the Womenpreneur Board of Trustees, along with more than 300 female leaders and entrepreneurs from various sectors.
