Bahrain Teachers College Celebrates Graduation of 14th Cohort

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Bahrain Teachers College held a graduation ceremony for its 14th cohort, comprising 332 students. The event took place at the Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall at the University of Bahrain in Sakhir, with the presence of Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the University of Bahrain Board of Trustees, alongside senior officials, academics, students, and parents.

During the ceremony, the Minister of Education delivered a speech highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s strong support for its educational initiatives under the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He expressed deep gratitude for the Crown Prince’s patronage of the graduation ceremony.

The minister emphasized the continued support of the Ministry of Education and the University of Bahrain in enhancing the college’s programs through partnerships with leading international educational institutions and by adopting global best practices. He congratulated the graduates, their families, and the academic and administrative staff, noting that the World Bank’s report recognizing the Bahrain Teachers College as a global model for teacher training confirms the institution’s advanced level in developing educational human resources.

Ms. Nawal Ibrahim Al Khater, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Chairperson of the Bahrain Teachers College Board, praised the graduation of a new generation of teachers entrusted with educating future generations. She commended the college’s academic and administrative staff for their dedication in building students’ capacities, instilling values of belonging and service, and reinforcing the educational mission.

Dr. Lucy Bailey, Dean of Bahrain Teachers College, also addressed the audience, thanking the Ministry of Education for its support and acknowledging the contributions of the college board, faculty, and administrative staff. She congratulated the graduates on joining the ranks of teachers in schools and lauded their academic achievements, perseverance, and dedication, emphasizing that their success is a source of pride and a testament to their ability to overcome challenges.

The ceremony included a video highlighting the college’s milestones and achievements. A representative of previous graduates, Fatima Ali Al Muhaizaa, delivered a speech, followed by graduates Maryam Jassim Al Matowa and Amana Hassan Al Farraj, who spoke on behalf of the graduates in both Arabic and English.

The event concluded with Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma presenting certificates to graduates, including those of the Master’s in Educational Leadership from Boston University, USA, the Postgraduate Diplomas in Educational Leadership, Special Education, and Education, as well as Bachelor’s in Education recipients.
