Bahrain and Malta Explore Enhanced Customs Cooperation
His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Customs Affairs, received His Excellency Silvio Schembri, Minister of Economy, Infrastructure, and Strategic Projects of the Republic of Malta, in a meeting aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the customs sector.
During the meeting, Sheikh Ahmed welcomed the Maltese minister and his accompanying delegation, highlighting the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Malta. He emphasized the constructive collaboration between the two countries across various sectors, particularly the exchange of expertise and experiences in customs operations. Several topics of mutual interest were discussed during the session.
For his part, Minister Schembri expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed Malta’s commitment to enhancing cooperation frameworks with Bahrain, especially in customs and economic fields, to serve the shared interests of the two friendly nations.
