Bahrain Strengthens U.S. Ties and Highlights Global Role at Johns Hopkins SAIS

His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United States, took part in a high-level panel at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) under the Public Service Fellowship program. The session brought together students and experts in international relations and public policy.

During the discussion, the Ambassador outlined Bahrain’s foreign policy priorities and its growing influence on the global stage. He highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting tolerance, coexistence, and innovation, grounded in the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Sheikh Abdullah also emphasized Bahrain’s longstanding partnership with the United States, describing it as a trusted ally and a cornerstone of stability in the Gulf. He traced the historical milestones that have strengthened the bilateral relationship, noting that it has evolved from traditional defense cooperation to a comprehensive partnership that includes economic growth, cultural exchange, and innovation.

The Ambassador also spotlighted the Comprehensive Security and Prosperity Integration Agreement (C-SIPA) with the U.S., which enhances collaboration in cybersecurity, technology, and trade.

On the sidelines, the Ambassador met with SAIS Dean James B. Steinberg and Associate Dean Sydney Jackson, reinforcing the Kingdom’s engagement with leading U.S. academic institutions.
