Bahrain committed to boosting Malaysia ties

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa underscored Bahrain’s commitment to consolidating its longstanding relations with Malaysia and expanding cooperation for the benefit of both peoples.
This came as HM the King held a meeting yesterday with His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, King of Malaysia.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as senior members of the Royal Family and the delegations of both countries, attended the meeting.
Bilateral cooperation
HM King Hamad and HM King Sultan Ibrahim emphasised their commitment to further advancing bilateral cooperation, highlighting the potential for building productive partnerships in key sectors that meet shared aspirations.
His Majesty welcomed the Malaysian King to the Kingdom, noting that the visit reflects the strong ties between the two nations and their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in ways that serve mutual interests.
HM King Sultan Ibrahim expressed appreciation to HM King Hamad for the warm welcome and generous hospitality.
Strategic relations
Their Majesties reviewed the progress of the close strategic relations between Bahrain and Malaysia and discussed opportunities to expand cooperation across various sectors to support development and prosperity. They also addressed regional and international issues of common interest.
His Majesty commended Malaysia’s record of success in economic, industrial, and development domains, which has reinforced its standing as a distinguished nation in Asia and globally, and wished the Malaysian people continued progress and prosperity.
Efforts
Their Majesties also highlighted their countries’ support for all efforts aimed at promoting regional and international peace, security, and stability.
HM King Sultan Ibrahim commended HM King Hamad’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and expressed his hope for further growth and cooperation between Bahrain and Malaysia.
