MP Mamdooh Abbas Al Saleh, Chairman of the Services Committee at the Council of Representatives, has been elected Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament during its plenary session for the fourth legislative term, held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
The election reflects Bahrain’s active role in Arab and international parliamentary forums, supported by the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Al Saleh said the achievement demonstrates the continued backing of Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and the Council’s members for Bahrain’s parliamentary diplomacy, which continues to expand its regional and international presence.
He said the new position will allow him to contribute to unified Arab parliamentary efforts, particularly on key regional issues such as the Palestinian cause, and to enhance cooperation and dialogue with other parliaments.
