Bahrain on Thursday strengthened its role in global research diplomacy by signing a landmark cooperation pact between Derasat and Italy’s prestigious Società Italiana Organizzazione Internazionale ( Italian Society for International Organization or SIOI) to expand scientific, educational, and innovation partnerships between the two nations.
The signing of the deal in Rome was announced by H.E. Dr Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of Derasat. The agreement was signed by Derasat CEO Abdulla Mohamed Al-Ahmed and SIOI President Ambassador Riccardo Sessa, in the presence of Bahrain’s Ambassador to Italy, Osama bin Abdullah Al-Absi.
