Bahrain’s Young Designer Takes Ferrari Crown
The Ministry of Youth Affairs, in collaboration with Euro Motors and Zayani Investment Group, announced that Bahraini designer Saud Abdulaziz Ahmed has claimed first place in the Ferrari 296 Challenge exterior design competition, featuring a uniquely Bahraini identity. The announcement was made during a special ceremony at the Ferrari showroom, attended by ministry officials and partner representatives.
Abdulkarim Al-Mir, Director of Events and Programs at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, highlighted that the initiative reflects the ministry’s ongoing commitment to empower Bahraini youth and provide them with platforms to showcase their creativity in innovative fields. “This competition not only celebrates talent but also captures our national identity in a modern, contemporary spirit,” he said, praising the close collaboration with Zayani Investment Group for opening new avenues to discover and nurture local design talent.
Reem Zayed Al-Zayani, Director of Corporate Communications and Sustainability at Zayani Investment Group, emphasized that the competition embodies the group’s dedication to supporting Bahraini youth and engaging them in high-profile projects that enhance their role in creative industries. “Partnering with the Ministry of Youth Affairs has added tremendous value, highlighting promising talents and their innovative potential,” she noted.
Expressing his pride, Saud Abdulaziz Ahmed said the victory is both a personal achievement and a source of inspiration for Bahraini youth. “Winning this competition motivates young creators to continue innovating, helping to strengthen Bahrain’s presence on the global creative stage,” he stated. Saud’s design draws inspiration from Bahrain’s rich heritage and progressive spirit, blending tradition with contemporary flair.
