From heritage to progress: Muharraq development hailed by HM King Hamad

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has affirmed that the development of Muharraq is progressing steadily in a way that preserves the city’s cultural and historical identity, with key projects expected to be completed within a year.
“The city of Muharraq has been known throughout Bahrain’s history for its antiquity, the authenticity of its people, their continuous generosity, high patriotism, loyalty, and strong sense of belonging to their homeland, as is the case with all dear citizens of Bahrain,” His Majesty the King said.
His Majesty made these remarks while praising a meeting that of His Excellency Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Follow-up Committee for the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of National Belonging and Consolidate the Values of Citizenship, with the people of Muharraq Governorate.
HM King Hamad expressed appreciation for the honourable stances and sincere patriotic sentiments demonstrated by the people during the meeting, highlighting their loyalty, love, and devotion to the country and leadership throughout history.
His Majesty emphasized that Muharraq, like all cities in Bahrain, receives the nation’s close attention through development projects across housing, health, education, and other sectors. HM added that the city is “precious and dear” and is witnessing continuous development because it and its people deserve full attention.
HM King Hamad also reaffirmed that the Bahraini citizen remains the nation’s top priority and the core of all development goals, plans, and programmes.
