Bahrain and Mongolia Sign Visa Waiver Agreement for Diplomatic Passports
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, met today with H.E. Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, at Bahrain’s Permanent Mission in New York, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The two ministers discussed the longstanding friendship between Bahrain and Mongolia, and explored ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various fields to achieve shared interests and benefit both countries and their peoples. They also exchanged views on current regional and international developments and other issues of mutual concern.
During the meeting, both sides signed an agreement on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Jamal Fares Alrowaiei, Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York; Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations; and Mr. Ali Khalid Al Arifi, Head of the Ministry’s Al Madar Center.
