The Southern Municipality, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defence, the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), and the Ministry of Works, has conducted a comprehensive field inspection campaign at Isa Town’s popular market, covering 582 shops.
The initiative aimed to ensure compliance with Civil Defence safety standards and to verify the safety of electrical connections and fire systems. As part of the campaign, Civil Defence teams inspected fire extinguishers to confirm their validity, placement, and accessibility, while also checking the operation of early warning systems.
Specialists from the EWA examined electrical connections and extensions in shops and kiosks to ensure they met technical specifications and to identify any random or hazardous wiring
