The Youth Committee of the Supreme Council for Women organized two youth-focused discussion sessions as part of its participation in the 14th edition of “Youth City 2030”, held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center. The event was organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in strategic partnership with the Labor Fund “Tamkeen” under the theme “Beyond Dreams.”
The two sessions, facilitated by volunteers from the Youth Committee, are part of a series of initiatives aimed at raising awareness among young people about the goals and focus areas of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2025–2026). The sessions also sought to encourage youth participation in supporting the plan through community initiatives and partnerships, highlighting their role as key partners in achieving the Council’s objectives.
The first discussion, led by young law graduate Zahraa Al Aribi, focused on family stability and decision-making. The second session, moderated by fellow law graduate Tofouf Hassan, explored economic participation and quality of life. Both sessions adopted an interactive and innovative dialogue format, encouraging participants of both genders to share their ideas and perspectives.
The sessions received enthusiastic engagement from youth attendees, who emphasized the importance of continuing their role in advancing the progress of Bahraini women. Participants discussed challenges and opportunities in these areas, sharing practical examples and suggestions drawn from their own experiences, reflecting their commitment to contributing to the leadership and empowerment of women in Bahrain’s national development journey.
The Youth Committee of the Supreme Council for Women was established in 2003 under the guidance of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Chairwoman of the Council. The committee aims to engage young men and women, preparing them to contribute to national strategies for the advancement of Bahraini women. Through skill development and empowerment initiatives, the committee equips youth to support national efforts that promote a balanced and integrated approach to development, where men and women collaborate effectively in shaping Bahrain’s future.
