Chairman of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, highlighted Bahrain’s proud record of humanitarian achievements, describing them as a reflection of the noble vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Al-Saleh said that under the leadership and generous support of His Majesty, Bahrain has set a shining example in charitable initiatives and humanitarian projects, both at home and abroad. He pointed to the Royal Humanitarian Foundation as a model of effective action, especially through its medical and relief aid to crisis-hit areas, including support for Gaza this year.
Speaking ahead of World Humanitarian Day on August 19, Al-Saleh noted that Bahrain’s work has strengthened its reputation regionally and internationally as a nation committed to compassion and generosity. “Bahrain has become a beacon of humanitarian action, providing critical relief to those affected by disasters and conflicts,” he said.
He also praised the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for advancing humanitarian programs and pioneering initiatives to support vulnerable communities inside and outside Bahrain.
Al-Saleh commended the leadership role of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, in guiding the Royal Humanitarian Foundation’s initiatives. He said Sheikh Nasser’s vision has delivered tangible results in health, education, and social welfare, further elevating Bahrain’s global standing as a nation rooted in values of solidarity and care.
“Bahrain’s humanitarian journey is a source of pride for us all,” Al-Saleh added, stressing that the Kingdom will continue to stand with those in need and uphold its role as a supporter of sustainable development and humanitarian values worldwide.
