53-Year-Old Arrested for Posting Sectarian Content Online

Authorities have arrested a 53-year-old man for sharing videos on social media that insulted a religious sect and risked stirring unrest.
The Anti-Cyber Crime Directorate, part of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security, said the man’s posts violated the law by promoting sedition and threatening civil peace.
Officials confirmed that legal procedures have been completed, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution. They reminded the public to use social media responsibly and avoid sharing any content that could harm others or breach the law.
