The Saudi Ministry of Interior announces that additional precautionary measures

The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced that additional precautionary measures will be taken at border crossings towards persons who visited countries infected with the new Corona virus (covid 19).

The Saudi News Agency quoted an official source in the ministry as saying that, given that the procedures for dealing with these people are currently being pursued within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, additional measures are required to limit their entry into the Kingdom’s territory, during the incubation period of the virus, or take preventive measures Towards them at the border crossings, and accordingly the competent authorities decided the following:

First: Security agencies immediately coordinate with their counterparts in the Gulf Cooperation Council states, so that entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for people who were traveling outside of these countries according to the following:

1. If the person wishing to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was a Saudi citizen or a resident there, the Saudi authorities are notified at the port, according to the mechanism agreed upon by both sides, that he was coming to that Gulf country from abroad during the past 14 days, with the clarification of the country in which he traveled To it, and to take precautionary health measures in the port.

2. In the event that the next person is a citizen of one of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, or a resident of or passing through it, he is not allowed to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, except after 14 consecutive days have passed, from the date of his return to that Gulf country with the clarification of the country he traveled to and make sure of Not showing symptoms of the disease.

Second: The security authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, each in its jurisdiction, shall cooperate with any country of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which wishes to apply the same procedures, to those coming to it from the Kingdom.
