Amman: Jordan's military announced Monday that its air defence systems captured and destroyed three Iranian missiles aimed at the kingdom.
According to the military, the missiles were intercepted and neutralised before they reached their intended objectives. There were no casualties or material damage reported.
The incident occurred amid increased regional tensions and a broader escalation including Iran, prompting concerns about the conflict spreading to other countries. Jordan has frequently stated that it will defend its airspace and territory from any threats in order to avoid being actively involved in the larger regional conflict.
