South Korea’s President Lee to Visit India, Vietnam for Strategic Talks

Seoul: South Korean President Lee Jae Myung will undertake state visits to India and Vietnam from April 19 to 24, as Seoul looks to deepen economic and strategic partnerships in Asia.
According to reports by Newsis, Lee will begin his trip in India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The two leaders are scheduled to hold a summit on April 20, followed by a joint press statement. Discussions in New Delhi are expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in key sectors such as shipbuilding, artificial intelligence and defence.
Lee will then travel to Hanoi on April 21, where he is set to meet President To Lam for talks on April 22. The South Korean president and Vietnamese leadership are expected to discuss expanding ties in areas including energy, global supply chains and critical minerals.
The visits come as South Korea seeks to reinforce its economic partnerships and diversify supply chains amid shifting global trade dynamics.
